Now that Being Mary Jane is on hiatus until it returns for its second season on BET, it’s hard to get an Omari Hardwick fix. He played cheating married man Andre Daniels on the show, and at the season’s end, it looked unlikely that he would be back.
Fortunately, he and 50 Cent have teamed up for an eight-episode summer series on Starz. On the show, Hardwick plays James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a New York drug kingpin who runs a club and a drug empire.
Naturi Naughton plays his wife, Tasha and 50 Cent is the executive producer, although its unclear whether he will also appear in the show in some way. Those of you who remember the short-lived show Platinum on UPN may find this show tread familiar ground, but we’ll watch anything Hardwick appears in.
