Costco: Cutting Down On Membership Card Sharing
The days of using your friend’s Costco card are ending.
It has been revealed that the retailer is cracking down on membership card sharing by implementing a new policy where cards will be scanned
upon entrance.
According to a statement on Cosctco’s website, scanning devices will be at the entrance, and members will place the barcode or QR code on the
scanner to gain entrance. Guests must be accompanied by a member to enter.
You must show your photo ID if you’re a member and have a card without an ID. You’ll be directed to the service counter if your card is inactive.
