The new year is here and the only thing more popular than getting your money right— and finally putting that pricey gym membership to use— is eating better. The excuses we all make when trying to eat better is that healthy food costs more and cooking is annoying.
And that’s why you should be about that smoothie life. On the second episode of Grown Man Sh*t, CASSIUS’ Dustin Ross stays on the food tip by showing us how to make a simple smoothie that actually tastes good and is good for you. Start by tossing half a banana into your blender along with the frozen berries. Frozen berries are better because you get the flavor of the berries with the texture and chill that you get from ice without watering it down. Next up is the vanilla almond milk and some spinach to make sure you get your vegetables for the day. After you add a teaspoon of flaxseed, be careful with the chia seeds because it could totally change the texture of the smoothie and as Dustin says, “turn your smoothie into a nasty.” Drop in half a scoop of your protein powder and then it’s time to blend it up.
And there’s your grown man smoothie.
