A local college basketball player has been drafted to play in the NBA next year.

Semaj Christon, who played with the Xavier Musketeers, was originally the 55th pick by the Miami Heat. The team, later, traded Christon to the Charlotte Hornets for Shabazz Napier.

Last season, Christon averaged 17 PPG, made the all-Big East first team, and appeared in his second NCAA tournament. Check out our Facebook page to see Semaj’s reaction when he heard his name.
