Christmas tree farmers are a little on edge this holiday season. The problem with the shortage of Christmas trees is not finding the trees but the lack of supply.

“The trend is people are buying trees earlier either they are cutting them down or buying fresh cut,” said Brent “Mr. Tree” Patterson.

On average a Christmas tree can take 10 to 12 years to grow. To add, during the last recession many Christmas tree farmers went out of business. This has caused today’s shortage of trees.
