Start with a flawless, skin-like base.

Janae’s skin was looking effortlessly flawless, so I turned to my favorite foundation to get the job done. The L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup ($10.99, ulta.com) is great for a skin-like finish that can be built up for more desired coverage. I applied my shade (W7 Caramel Beige) all over my face and blended it out. Next up, concealer!

Red carpet means flash photography, and that means absolutely no mercy on those dark circles! Use a concealer to hide darkness under the eyes and also brighten up the center of the face. I used the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade 25 Medium ($6.99, ulta.com). Once my concealer is all blended out, it’s on to bronzer.

Bronzer is what gave Janelle that warm, sun-kissed look! Using the NYC Sun ‘N’ Bronze Bronzing Powder ($4.52, walmart.com) I added some color to the perimeter of my face. No casper white-cast over here! Using a fluffy brush, apply your bronzer underneath your cheekbones, along your temples and the top of your forehead, and along your jawline.

You know no golden-goddess look is ever complete without a ridiculous amount of highlighter. I used the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Gold ($9.99, ulta.com) to add some glow to the high points of my face: cheekbones, the bridge and tip of my nose, and the center of my chin. I also used the highlighter as an eyeshadow, taking a damp brush to apply the molten gold color all over my eyelids.
