Two Cleveland men, wrongly accused of murder, are now free men thanks to some UC law students and faculty.
The Innocence Project presented its case to a Cleveland court, stating that Ricky Jackson and Wiley Bridgeman were innocent of murdering a grocery store owner in 1975. Originally the evidence was based on a young boy’s testimony. However, the boy confessed that he lied in court and his vision was blurry.
This is the 18th person the Innocence Project has freed since its inception.
