12/18/14 –

Dear Tom,

My wife might stand 4 feet 11, but she has a very big heart.  She was a single mom who raised her daughter on her own and did an excellent job.  Her little girl is all grown up – 36 and married but there aren’t any grandkids yet!

I met Hattie through a family member after serving 21 years in the army and we have been married 20 years.  Once we were married, it allowed her to follow her passion of helping others – especially senior citizens.

Her elderly father is 89 – she gets up every morning to make his breakfast, she keeps up with his meds & takes him to the veteran’s hospital.  She also cares for her special needs sister who lives with him and his wife.

Hattie is involved in church programs like teaching bible study to the seniors & Sunday school to the kids and teens – some of her students are taller than her.

In her spare time, she loves to go fishing…she finds it relaxing but she doesn’t like to clean them.  She usually gives them to her friends, neighbors and congregation.

In her other spare time – she likes to watch reality shows on TV and anything on HGTV.  One of those shows she watched gave her ideas to want to do a kitchen makeover.  She wants to re-do the counter tops, update the island and re-face the cabinets with new doors.
