A local hall-of-fame basketball player is pushing for a voter referendum that would legalize Marijuana in Ohio.
Oscar Robertson is leading a local group of investors in trying to get marijuana legalized for medicinal purposes. In a press release by Responsible Ohio, Robertson states:
“It’s a terrible feeling when you can’t help someone suffering from cancer or another debilitating medical condition – I know from personal experience. But medical marijuana can give our loved ones relief. I’m part of ResponsibleOhio because I want to be part of making this change a reality.”
Other notables in the group include former Bengal Frostee Rucker. 300,000 signatures are needed in order for this referendum to be put on the ballot.
