Spike Lee has successfully raised over million dollars for his new film about blood-addicted humans.
The filmmaker launched a Kickstarter campaign for the independent project last month, and just 25 days later, he reached his goal of $1.25 million.
According to reports, 28 people donated a gift of $10,000 or higher. These individuals will be rewarded with a dinner, Knicks game and “master filmmaker class” with the Hollywood director.

Although a name for the upcoming project has yet to be release, Lee described the film as “a new kind of love story” about “human beings who are addicted to Blood.”
“This film is a BLOOD THRILLER. It’s about people who are not Vampires but nonetheless are BLOOD ADDICTS,” he explained. “It’s also a Psychological Thriller. It will work on several different layers. The Audience will be scared, but there will be good amounts of humor too. Like in most of my previous work I like to mix stuff up.”
The Huffington Post reports that British actress Zaraah Abrahams has been cast for the lead female role.
