Brandon Phillips, of the Reds, had a painful at-bat against the New York Mets, last night.
When batting against the Mets pitcher, Noah Syndergaard, Phillips got hit by three fastballs with two hitting his foot and one hitting his finger. MLB.com reports that one of the pitches were clocked at 98-mph.
Phillips was taken out of the game for x-rays, but they came back negative. He is currently scratched from tonight’s lineup against the Mets.
