Afeni Shakur Davis, the mother of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, has passed away.
TMZ reports that sheriff’s were called to her California home, late Monday night, “for a report of a cardiac arrest”. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
After her son’s death, Afeni was very active in the public eye. She created a foundation, in his name, and also founded The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts. She also appeared in Tupac’s music video, “Dear Momma”. She was 69 years old.
