Whitney Houston started a three week run at number one on the Billboard singles chart with her song, “Greatest Love Of All”.

The song was on her self-titled album, which was released in 1986. While her producer, Clive Davis, had reservations for putting the song on the album, the single brought Houston a Grammy nomination, a Soul Train Music award, and an American Music Award for the video of this song (seen above).

At the time, this was the singer’s third number one hit in the U.S. The song also charted at number eight in the U.K..
