New details in this past weekend’s deadly police shooting in Fairfield shed new light on the people involved.
Reports released yesterday by Fairfield Police indicate officer Scott Conklin was nearly fired from his job last month after a performance review. A host of absences, missed court dates, and failure to follow department rules were the reasons why he was almost fired.
In the meantime, 23 year-old victim Caleb Surface was unarmed, but claims he had a gun to die in an apparent suicide by a cop.
