Duane “Keffe D” Davis Faces New Jail Charge Amid Tupac Shakur Murder Case
Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the man accused of orchestrating the murder of Tupac Shakur, is facing a new charge after an incident at Clark County Detention Center. On January 26, Davis, 61, was charged with prisoner violence following an altercation on January 24, where he was accused of battery by a prisoner. This new charge comes while Davis remains in custody after his arrest in September 2023 for the infamous 1996 murder of the rap legend.
Following the incident, a judge set Davis’ bail at $50,000 for the new charge, significantly lower than his original $750,000 bail for the murder case. He is expected to appear in court on January 28 to address the latest charge.
In the ongoing murder case, Davis has been accused of being the mastermind behind the killing of Tupac Shakur. He has stated that he was in the front passenger seat of the car that pulled up next to Shakur on the Las Vegas Strip the night of the fatal shooting in September 1996. Last week, a judge in the case refused to dismiss the charges against him, reinforcing that Davis has no immunity in Nevada.
Davis is slated for trial in March, where he will face charges for the murder that has haunted the hip-hop community for nearly three decades. As legal battles continue to unfold, this new charge adds another layer of drama to the ongoing saga surrounding Tupac’s tragic death.
