JAY-Z Calls Out Rape Accuser In New Amendment To Lawsuit

Jay-Z Files Defamation and Malicious Prosecution Lawsuit Against Rape Accuser and Her Lawyers
Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is fighting back in court, filing a lawsuit for defamation and malicious prosecution against a woman who accused him of rape and the legal team representing her. The legal action, filed on May 5, 2024, comes months after the accuser—identified in court documents as Jane Doe—agreed to withdraw her sexual assault lawsuit in February. According to Jay-Z, the accusations have continued despite the case being vacated.
The rapper’s complaint states that Jane Doe “has not stopped” making damaging statements about him, most notably in a TikTok video where she declared, “You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to get an apology video out of me, I stand on what I said, f___ you.” Jay-Z argues that her continued public remarks are part of an ongoing campaign to tarnish his reputation.
The lawsuit also targets prominent attorney Tony Buzbee, alleging that he manipulated Jay-Z’s Wikipedia page to portray the artist in a negative light while boosting his own professional image. Jay-Z’s legal team claims these actions were calculated efforts to harm not only his personal standing but also the reputation and financial interests of his company, Roc Nation.
According to the filing, the fallout from the accusations has already caused tangible damage: Jay-Z says he was denied a $55 million personal credit line and Roc Nation was turned down for a $115 million loan. These denials, he argues, stem directly from the false allegations and the narrative spread by the defendants.
Buzbee has dismissed the claims as “meritless” and called the Wikipedia tampering allegation “incredibly weak,” standing by his client and their actions.
As the legal battle unfolds, this case raises significant questions about the boundaries of public discourse, online accusations, and the long-term consequences of high-profile legal disputes.
