Dear Tom,

My mother listens to your show and enjoys all of you very much but Huggy Lowdown is her favorite.  She is the 3rd youngest of 8 children and she’s always cooking and cleaning her house because “you never know when company is coming over.”

My mom stands 5 feet tall, weighs 105 pounds and at 88-years-old, she gets around better than i do.  She says she’s stayed healthy all these years because she has always cooked everything from scratch.

She has seen & been through a lot in her days: the great depression; World War 2; the civil rights movement, everything kids learn about in school.

She retired from sears 15 years ago to take care of her husband – they were married for 55 years.  He passed at age 68 and she never remarried claiming that once was enough and her main focus is on her family.

she been wanting some new carpeting for room or two in the home that she has lived in for 45 years – but don’t worry, it’s not the original carpet – but she really can’t afford it with her fixed income.

She has never won anything in her 88 years of life and i know this would be a wonderful surprise for her.
