Celebrate Empowerment and Culture at YWCA Hamilton’s HERstory & HERitage Festival

Hamilton, OH – Mark your calendars for March 8, when YWCA Hamilton will host HERstory & HERitage, a daylong festival that honors transformational women and celebrates cultural diversity. Held at the Champion Mill Conference Center at Spooky Nook, this unique event offers an immersive experience that blends powerful stories of women’s achievements with vibrant international culture.

From 11 AM to 5 PM, the festival will feature inspiring speakers, cultural exhibits, and activities aimed at celebrating women’s accomplishments across the world. This immersive experience will highlight the diverse journeys and legacies of women, while offering attendees the opportunity to explore and embrace cultures from every corner of the globe.

As the day of celebration concludes, the excitement will shift to an intimate fundraising concert featuring one of the most celebrated female R&B groups in history—En Vogue. Known for their unforgettable hits like “Hold On” and “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” En Vogue will take the stage to showcase their signature harmonies, charisma, and timeless music. With over 20 million albums sold, seven Grammy nominations, and multiple prestigious awards, En Vogue’s performance promises to be nothing short of legendary.

This concert is not only an exciting musical experience but also a chance to give back. Proceeds from the event will benefit YWCA Hamilton’s vital programs that empower women, provide shelter for survivors of domestic violence, and offer supportive housing for those experiencing chronic homelessness.

Hamilton’s very own The Cunningham Sisters will open for En Vogue, bringing a hometown flair to the stage and setting the tone for a night of unforgettable performances.

Wendy Waters-Connell, CEO of YWCA Hamilton, expressed her excitement:
“We are beyond excited to have En Vogue as our headliner and to share the stage with our amazing local talent, the Cunningham Sisters. It’s truly a special moment for our community to have both an international music icon and hometown favorites in one unforgettable and inspiring evening.”

Neil Cohen, Treasurer of YWCA Hamilton’s Board of Directors, echoed this sentiment:
“Having En Vogue headline this event is an incredible honor, and we are so thrilled to be able to showcase the Cunningham Sisters as part of the show. This event will be one for the books, combining the best of both global and local talent to create a night that celebrates empowerment, culture, and community.”
