Carnival’s CEO Arnold Donald is partying with a purpose April 11th-19th on the 2015 Fantastic Voyage Cruise!

“We are delighted that you took, so we have eight great lines, eight great cruise lines, and Tom and the Foundation chose the Carnival Line, which is our fun line.  And then they selected one of the best ships in the line, if not the best ship, the Carnival Breeze for the Fantastic Voyage,” Arnold says.

TOM JOYNER:  This gentlemen sitting next to me right here on stage, his name is Arnold Donald.

ANTHONY BROWN: The man with two first names.

TOM JOYNER:  The man with two first names.  And this man sitting right next to me named Arnold Donald is the CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines.  A little known black history fact, huh?  Arnold, I am proud to say we have partnered with you for the Fantastic Voyage for another year.

ARNOLD DONALD:  Good morning, everybody.  I hope you’re having a great time here at the venue.  And Tom, we are delighted that you took, so we have eight great lines, eight great cruise lines, and Tom and the Foundation chose the Carnival Line, which is our fun line.  And then they selected one of the best ships in the line, if not the best ship, the Carnival Breeze for the Fantastic Voyage.

TOM JOYNER:  This is your newest ship.

ARNOLD DONALD:  It’s our newest ship.  It’s three football fields long.  It’s maybe 12, 13 stories high.  However, it’s booking up fast, so it’s not like the reunion, you can’t like drive in late.  When you come late it’s gone.  And the same thing with booking the cabins.

TOM JOYNER:  Now Arnold Donald has guaranteed that every passenger will have a great time on the Fantastic Voyage.

SYBIL WILKES:  And how do we know that?

TOM JOYNER:  His guarantee is so good.

SYBIL WILKES:  How good?

TOM JOYNER:  That he’s going to be on the Fantastic Voyage to make sure that every passenger on the Carnival Cruise Line for the Fantastic Voyage has a great time.  We got that from the CEO.

SYBIL WILKES:  Is that not what you call partying with a purpose?

ARNOLD DONALD:  I’m looking forward to sailing with you guys.

SYBIL WILKES:  That’s party with a party with a purpose, isn’t it?

ARNOLD DONALD:  It’s a party with a purpose.

TOM JOYNER:  That’s a party, that’s a party with a purpose.  You said you have how many cruise ships?  Eight lines?

ARNOLD DONALD  We have eight lines, nine lines.

TOM JOYNER:  Nine?

ARNOLD DONALD:  And we have 102 ships.  One hundred and two ships.

TOM JOYNER:  What you don’t realize is that of all this, all the cruise ships in the world, you have like 60% of them.

ARNOLD DONALD:  One out of every two people that sail anywhere on a cruise, they cruise on one of our ships.  So we have over 50% of anybody that …

SYBIL WILKES:  Which is your (00:02:25)?

ARNOLD DONALD:  We have 80 million.

SYBIL WILKES:  80 million?

ARNOLD DONALD:  Passenger cruise days a year.  Eighty million.

TOM JOYNER:  Wow.

ARNOLD DONALD:  But none as good as the Fantastic Voyage.

TOM JOYNER:  Oh, no, no, no.

SYBIL WILKES:  Can you …

TOM JOYNER:  Now Arnold knows what he’s talking about, because he has cruised with us before.  Before he was with Carnival Cruise Line you were with, what was it, a sweetener?

ARNOLD DONALD:  Yeah, we had a company called Marison(?), and Equal sweetener was one of our sweeteners.

TOM JOYNER:  Equal.

SYBIL WILKES:  The blue, the blue.

TOM JOYNER:  Yes.

ARNOLD DONALD:  Yes, the blue baggie.  The blue.

TOM JOYNER:  The blue.  The blue.

SYBIL WILKES:  And you might recognize Arnold; also he was just recently on the cover of Black Enterprise magazine.

TOM JOYNER:  And if you watch MSNBC you saw him.

SYBIL WILKES:  You see him.

ARNOLD DONALD:  The ice bucket challenge.

SYBIL WILKES:  That’s right.

TOM JOYNER:  You did the ice bucket?

ARNOLD DONALD:  I did the ice bucket.

SYBIL WILKES:  The ice challenge, the ice bucket challenge.

TOM JOYNER:  Wow.  But this is Arnold Donald.  And he’s going to be on the cruise with us.  He’s the CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines.  We’re booking the Fantastic Voyage to benefit the Tom Joyner Foundation.  Right now.  You can do it here at the expo, or you can do it online, and it’s booking fast.  We sail in April.  Thank you, Arnold.  You’re a great partner.

ARNOLD DONALD:  It’s good to be with you, my man.
