On Saturday, January 17th, Training Grounds, Inc. held it’s 10th it’s 10th Anniversary Awards Ceremony and Gala at THEARC Theater in Southeast, DC. In celebration of 10 years of workforce training and community service, Training Grounds honored individuals, corporate partners, and groups that exemplify the spirit of service and human development. Honorees for the ceremony were WC Smith, The JBG Companies, The Kimsey Foundation, and the Marion Barry Youth Leadership Institute Alumni Association. The event was hosted by WJLA TV’s Sam Ford and Majic 102.3’s April Watts. Trouble Funk and special guest Sugar Bear closed the evening with a high powered performance.
