Family of Zainabou Drame May Not See a Dime of Lawsuit Settlement

The family of the daughter, whose face was mauled by pit bulls, may never see the money they won from a lawsuit judgement.

While Hamilton County Judge Jody Luebbers affirmed a $7.5 million dollar lawsuit to the Drame family, this week, the collection isn’t likely. Zontae Irby, one defendant, is currently in prison for marijuana trafficking. The other defendant, Irby’s mother, is denying the pit bulls weren’t hers and the attack didn’t happen on her property.

Zainabou Drame, last year, was attacked by two pitbulls that left her unable to speak or able to eat solid foods for the rest of her life.
