Attorney Thomas J. Connick, of Connick Law LLC in Beachwood, filed a class action in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio against Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble d/b/a Old Spice.

It was filed on behalf of consumers who purchased allegedly defective Old Spice deodorant, which regularly and routinely causes rashes, irritation, burning and other injury to unsuspecting consumers.

In the 30-page filing, the plaintiff, Rodney Colley, of Alexandria, Virginia, claims he “suffered severe rashes, burning and discomfort…after only a few uses of the Old Spice product….”

P&G spokesman Damon Jones says “The safety of the men who use Old Spice is the foundation of everything we do.”

Also in the 30-page document are additional complaints from about 100 Old Spice users on a consumer affairs website.
