If you haven’t read Charles Blow’s latest editorial in The New York Times, I suggest you do.

It’s entitled “The Ghosts of Old Sex Scandals.”

Blow, who is a CNN contributor and a frequent guest on my show, lays out in layman’s terms exactly what is going in this election cycle when it comes to former President Bill Clinton, other politicians and their sins of the past – maybe even the present.

Blow so eloquently surmises what I have been discussing on and off on my show for months now; that it appears we’re going back in time to a not so distant past and re-litigating what had been discussed ad nauseam in the news, at the water cooler, at the kitchen table and even in congressional hearings – Bill Clinton’s sex life – more specifically his extra-marital affairs; one of which he was impeached for.

If you don’t believe me, go to Google or any other search engine and type in the words, “I did not h….”

Before you can finish the word “have” the engine will automatically fill in the rest, “have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky,” as in Monica Lewinsky.

“I want you to listen to me. I’m going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.”

Well he did.

And as Blow points out, there is absolutely NO excuse for the former President’s behavior but the hypocrisy is astounding surrounding those who are eager to dredge it up – not that it’s not fair game.

Everything is fair game, especially in politics.

But isn’t what’s good for the goose good for the gander?

Blow reminds us that several people, many of whom are Republican leaders, who railed against Clinton now and then admitted to having extra-marital affairs/sexual relationships as well.

You may say, and rightfully so, that they are not running for President.

And you’d be right.

But neither is Bill Clinton.

His wife is.

And if Hillary Clinton is or was, as her Republican rival has claimed, an enabler, is not for me to decide.

But one must ask ones self this question – if Hillary Clinton was an enabler, shouldn’t you be asking the same of Newt Gingrich’s wife or Henry Hyde’s wife or Dan Burton’s wife or David Vitter’s  wife or Donald Trump’s wife or any other wife who’s husband has cheated on her?

I’m just asking.
