Even though Detroit recently filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy because of an $18-20 billion dollar debt, Beyonce still showed up to the troubled city for a stop on her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. Singing Sam Cooke’s classic, “A Change Gonna Come,” Beyonce took a moment to show the city some love.
The video shows excited fans screaming from the audience, various stars from Detroit, like Aretha Franklin and Aaliyah and of course a beautifully glowing Beyonce, hair in the wind, singing soulfully. See–the Carter-Knowles do give back Harry Belafonte!
