The New York Mets and Juan Soto agreed to a record-breaking deal worth $765 million over 15 years, the biggest in Major League Baseball team sports history. This contract surpassed the previous record held by Shohei Ohtani, who received a $700 Million deal from the Los Angeles Dodgers last season.

Soto, who spent last season with the New York Yankees is a four-time All-Star, a five-time Silver Slugger, and won a World Series in 2019 with the Washington Nationals. His career achievements and consistent performance have made him one of the top players in the league. Now with the biggest contract in sports, Soto will be one of the faces of Baseball and expected to get the Mets back to the World Series for the first time since in 2015 when they faced the Kansas City Royals but lost the series in five games.
