A suspect in the Young Dolph shooting case, Cornelius Smith, has testified that he and Justin Johnson were the two men who allegedly shot at the rapper outside of Makeda’s Butter Cookies in Memphis in November 2021.
Smith claimed that Big Jook, the brother of Yo Gotti’s CMG label, promised them $40,000 each to commit the crime.
Johnson’s attorney refuted Smith’s confession, suggesting he was trying to save himself.
Smith and Johnson were both charged in connection with the shooting, along with another man, Hernandez Govan.
