The administration has announced that the institution received it’s largest donation in school history, $4.4 million.
Dallas Philanthropist, Trammell S. Crow had previously donated $1 million to the Tigers four years ago, but he added $3.4 million to the already generous donation in June.
“There are moments in our lives when we realize that things will never be the same,” Sorrell said. “And I’m telling you today that Paul Quinn College will never be the same.”
The money is certainly appreciated, as the campus hasn’t had a new building constructed in 37 years.
So what’s the first order of business?
Construction of the Trammell S. Crow Living and Learning Center, a residential facility, will break ground soon!
College President, Michael Sorrell spoke well of the donation saying, “This college has been transformed by our friendship with Trammell S. Crow,” Sorrell said. “This gives me unbelievable joy.”
