Best known for his role as Peanut on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Clayton English is the winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about his life since winning the show.
“Gave my mom a job. She now works for me. She’s my Executive Assistant. She just goes through my emails, so I said call yourself something,” he said.
On attending Florida A&M:
“I was down there for about three years, off and on. I use to actually try to do a little radio. My name was Georgia Clay.”
On jobs he held before becoming a full-time comic:
“I worked at Ikea, Boston Market, Target. I also worked with the UniverSOUL Circus. I hyped the crowd up.”
Clayton is at the Arlington Improv this weekend. Click the link above to hear the entire interview.
