U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has asked The White House to not consider her as a nominee for the Supreme Court.
A Justice Department spokeswoman told the press that given the nomination process could potentially be long, the Attorney General believes it would “curtail her effectiveness in her current role” should she be nominated.
Lynch has been frequently brought up as a replacement for Justice Antonin Scalia, who passed away last month,
