Water contaminated by a West Virginia chemical spill is flowing down the Ohio River towards Cincinnati.

City officials say the tainted water will reach the area tonight, and they’re prepared to shut off the city’s water intakes and use 300 million gallons of stored water and a ground water reserve for as long as two days.

Testing is underway to determine whether the methanol that dried up water supplies to 300,000 West Virginians poses a local risk.
