There has been 16 communities that have bennifited from past NEP (Neighborhood Enhancement Program) picks. Some of the communities include Northside, Clifton Heights, Westwood, College Hill, Mt. Washington, Corryville and Over-the-Rhine.

The selected areas are chosen through an analysis of building code violations, vacant buildings, disorder and drug calls, drug arrests, as well as incidence of graffiti, junk autos, litter and weeds.
