Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s Grand National Tour Shatters Records with $9 Million Single-Night Earnings

Kendrick Lamar and SZA are making history — and headlines — with their highly anticipated Grand National Tour, which has already set a new industry benchmark. On just the first two nights of the tour, the duo pulled in a jaw-dropping $18.5 million, with Kendrick becoming the first rapper ever to gross over $9 million from a single concert.

The tour launched in explosive fashion in Minneapolis, where more than 47,000 fans packed the venue to witness hip-hop royalty in action. That opening night alone brought in $9.1 million, followed by an even bigger showing in Houston with $9.4 million in revenue.

In breaking this record, Kendrick and SZA officially surpassed the previous high-water mark set by Eminem, who made $9 million during a 2019 show in Melbourne, Australia.

With Mustard setting the tone as the opening act, the Grand National Tour is visiting 16 major U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Inglewood. The North American leg will conclude in Maryland on June 18, after which Kendrick and SZA will take their powerhouse tour across the Atlantic.

The European leg begins July 2 in Germany and wraps up in Sweden on August 9, with several U.K. dates expected to draw similar record-breaking crowds.

This tour isn’t just a victory lap for two of the most critically acclaimed artists in modern music — it’s a moment of history being made in real-time.
