Routine Traffic Stop in Sharonville Turns Into High-Speed Chase; Two Arrested

Sharonville, OH – What began as a routine traffic stop quickly escalated into a high-speed chase on the interstate, ending with two arrests and multiple felony charges.

On [insert specific date if known], officers in Sharonville attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. However, the situation took a dangerous turn when the driver, later identified as Alicia Joyce Bryant, 54, of Hamilton, Ohio, struck a police cruiser and fled the scene.

Disregarding repeated commands to stop, Bryant led police on a pursuit down the interstate. Law enforcement ultimately deployed stop sticks, successfully deflating the front left tire of the vehicle and bringing the chase to a halt.

Bryant was taken into custody and now faces a series of charges, including:

  • Fleeing and eluding
  • Reckless operation
  • Driving under suspension

She also had an outstanding warrant from Butler County, adding to her legal troubles.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kevin Gabbard, 45, was also arrested. Gabbard was charged with tampering with evidence and was found to have an open warrant through the Ohio Parole Authority.

Despite the high-speed nature of the chase and the collision with a police vehicle, no injuries were reported.

The case remains under investigation, and further charges may be pending. Authorities have not yet released full dash cam or body cam footage, though it is expected to be made available in the coming days.
