Patti Labelle said she does not want to be referred to as a “DIVA’ any longer. The Grammy-winning, legendary singer says now the word has a negative meaning.
Why? In a recent interview with PRIDESOURCE Labelle said, “the word is used so loosely, that I don’t even consider myself a “Diva anymore.”
“It’s not cute anymore…because all these “little heifers who can’t sing are called divas.”
