A Butler County mother will avoid jail time for trying to give up her adopted son.
Lisa Cox pleaded guilty, yesterday, to attempted abandonment as part of a plea bargain that included a 90-day suspended jail sentence.
Cox and her husband face more serious charges after leaving their nine year-old son with children’s services last year. They claimed they can no longer deal with his behavior. The family has since reconciled.
