If you’ve traveled Downtown this morning you may have noticed a few new detours and for good reason! A very special event will take place this afternoon for Mrs. Marian Spencer. The Cincinnati Human Relations Commission and council member Wendell Young will host a “Street Naming” ceremony honoring the life and service and determination of Mrs. Marian Spencer. Mrs. Spencer, civil rights icon and a life member of the NAACP. This event happens today at 3:30, the Anderson Pavilion, 100 W. Mehring Way under the carousel and is open to the public.
Well deserved! Congratulations Mrs. Marian Spencer from everyone here at Old School 100.3.
